I have always loved the work of Lisa Mann Dirkes. Having just celebrated my 25th birthday, and with graduation on the horizon this painting in particular has spoken to me now more than ever. I am at a crossroads in life, where decisions need to be able about my future, and where I am going to go from here. To be honest I have no idea what is next for me. This is just a beautiful reminder that wherever I go and whatever I do, life is short and sometimes you have to take chances.

Lisa was a dear friend of my Mother, and unfortunately lost her battle with breast cancer this year. I gave the painting above to my mom this year for mothers day. She absolutely loved it.
Check out her online store
here, where you can buy beautiful reproductions of Lisa's work. A portion of the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
